Paris Hilton has found a new best friend who she says is hot, loyal and "paparazzi-ready.” The 27-year-old high profile celebrity heiress launched a nationwide search to look for the perfect candidate to become her new friend, and found it through her upcoming reality series ‘Paris Hilton's My New BFF (Best Friend Forever)’.
Hilton’s new show “My New BFF” is a contestant driven reality show, which begins airing on September 30 on MTV. Nearly 300,000 Americans applied to take part in the show, of them 16 women and two men have been carefully chosen.
The selected contestants had to accomplish different challenges to be Hilton’s friend forever. The contestants were challenged with making a commercial for one of Hilton’s fashion products and managing to look hot while on a rollercoaster.
Hilton has recently wrapped up the "My New BFF" after picking up the person she was looking for.
She reportedly has struck up a real, off-screen friendship with the winner of the series, turning away critics’ prediction that the blonde socialite will ditch the winner of the show once filming is over.
“The person who won is now my best friend. We hang out. Yeah, we’re really friends,” Hilton said. “We’ve been having barbecues and hanging out at the house. The winner and I have been pretty low-key so far, because it is top secret right now.”
In response to a question how the show prepared the contestants for the Hollywood lifestyle, along with the constant presence of photographers, Hilton said, “In my life you can get photographed at any time. You never know when paparazzi are going to be hiding around the corner. So my friend needs to be paparazzi-ready.”
Paris Hilton, the heiress to the Hilton hotel fortune and the daughter of real estate magnate Rick Hilton, is best known for starring in a fish-out-of-water reality show called, "The Simple Life" with a fellow heiress Nicole Richie, daughter of singer Lionel Richie.
The life of the damsel has been in media spotlight ever since she entered the entertainment industry and has been subjected to criticism for her hard-partying lifestyle by almost everyone.
In November 2003, Hilton came in the headlines when a home video of her cavorting with her then-boyfriend Rick Solomon was published online.
Paris Hilton along with Britney Spears has topped the Former designer Mr. Blackwell's 47th annual "Worst Dressed" list and were described as "Style-free and fashion deprived” by the Blackwell.
Labeled as the “Party Girl,” Hilton has been indulged in a number of legal cases. A Los Angeles party planner had accused her of bombarding him with angry phone calls, shoving him and threatening his life.
In June 2006, Hilton had a fender-bender accident when her Range Rover backed into a car in a parking garage after a shopping trip.
