Paris Hilton Denied access to Sundays' Oscars

Paris Hilton, whose latest movie The Hottie and the Nottie grossed just $9000 at the US box office in its opening weekend - was devastated after being told she couldn't attend the prestigious event on Sunday night.

A source said: "She cried hot, salty tears when she was banned from the Oscars. She's desperate to be taken seriously as an actress and hoped she would be able to network with film executives."

Paris - who infamously starred in home video sex-tape One Night in Paris - had even splashed out $2 million on a designer dress for the ceremony at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.

The Simple Life star is now considering going to one of the many after-show parties but may have to wear a disguise.

A source added to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "She's tempted to go to the parties afterwards but might wear her trademark wig to save her dignity."

However, one post-awards bash she won't be going to is the Vanity Fair event.

The magazine has decided to scrap its annual Oscar party in support of the recent Hollywood writers' strike.

The Vanity Fair party is considered the most glamorous and exclusive post-Oscars event, with a guest list strictly reserved for A-list stars and VIPs.




US TV show Entertainment Weekly have also cancelled their post-Oscar bash.

Paris Hilton being investigated for sleeping with her dogs

Paris Hilton, thanks to an interview on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, is under investigation for keeping too many dogs.

The Los Angeles Department of Animal Services, the report says, is looking into whether Hilton is violating a city law that limits residents to three pets, unless they are commercial breeders.

Paris told Ellen, "I have 17 dogs — lots ... They all sleep in my bed - well, not all of them, but I let some of them."

Paris said she has so many dogs because "they keep having babies, and I feel bad about giving them away."

Ellen, to her credit, urged Paris to look into spaying and neutering.... Something which should have been done to Paris' parents 20 someodd years ago.

Nicky Hilton bans her Sister Paris from coming over to her home.

Nicky revealed she has forbidden Paris from coming over, because her sister steals all her interior design ideas.

She said, “I told her she isn’t allowed to come over if she copies me.” Hotel-heiress Nicky has just bought her first house, which is located just above Hollywood’s Sunset Strip, and is pleased the décor reflects her personal taste.

She said, “I don’t want my house to look like a page you see in a catalogue. I like drama when it comes to design.” As the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, who started the Hilton Hotel chain in 1946, Nicky spent a lot of her childhood in hotels but says she prefers returning to the same house every night. She told said, “Growing up in hotels, I was definitely spoiled. I miss having fresh sheets and room service every day. Still, it’s nicer to have my own house.”

Kathy Hilton was furious that Paris allowed herself to be drawn into a snarky snit with Lindsay Lohan at a pre-Grammys bash Friday in Los Angeles. Granted, LiLo reportedly started it by taking a swipe at ''The Hottie & the Nottie" and loudly complaining about Hilton being at the People magazine event.

More bad Hilton press surfaced Tuesday, with news Paris' little brother Barron, 18, was arrested for a DUI in Malibu, Calif., at 8:30 in the morning!

According to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, the teen registered a .14 blood alcohol reading at the scene. In California, anything over .08 is considered legally intoxicated for drivers over 21. At Barron's age, any blood alcohol level is considered legally drunk.

Kathy Hilton reportedly ''went bonkers'' when she learned about Barron's arrest -- compounded by the fact two men in a Nissan truck claim Hilton hit their vehicle while driving ''wildly.'' Also claiming injury was an attendant at the gas station where Hilton was finally arrested, who alleged the young heir ran into him before his Mercedes came to a stop.

The least of Hilton's current problems was the total bombing of her excreable ''The Hottie & the Nottie'' film -- released in a handful of theaters on Friday. ''That film made [Hilton's earlier] 'House of Wax' and 'Pledge This!' look like Oscar contenders by comparison,'' added the Hilton insider.

Given the public's total lack of interest in ''The Hottie'' -- likely the worst film of 2008 (Yes, I feel confident making that call already!) -- it's pretty certain Hilton's film career will end once her next picture, ''Repo! The Genetic Opera,'' comes out. That film is currently being edited.

Paris Hiltons Younger Brother "Barron Hilton" Arrested for DUI

MALIBU, Calif. (AP) — Another Hilton has landed in the gray-bar hotel. Paris Hilton's younger brother, Barron, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of drunken driving, authorities said.

Barron Hilton, 18, was stopped after a witness reported seeing a black Mercedes-Benz weaving on the Pacific Coast Highway, at times drifting into the oncoming lane, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies arrested Hilton after he pulled over and got out of the car. He was booked in Malibu, where he registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.14 percent, authorities said. The legal limit in California is 0.08 percent.

He had a female passenger in the vehicle who had apparently been driving earlier and might have been involved in an accident, the Sheriff's Department said. She was not identified, and a call to the California Highway Patrol, which was investigating the woman's role, was not immediately returned.

Hilton was carrying a fake driver's license and was also arrested for investigation of carrying a falsified state document, said sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.

The Sheriff's Department did not know whether he had a lawyer. There was no immediate response to a telephone message left for a Pasadena attorney who represented Paris Hilton in her drunken-driving case.

Barron Hilton was released from jail shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday on $20,000 bail and was to be arraigned in April, Sgt. Diane Hecht said.

As word of his arrest spread, nearly a dozen paparazzi photographers swarmed the sheriff's station.

Paris Hilton pleaded no contest last year to alcohol-related reckless driving and was sentenced to 45 days in jail. The 26-year-old reality show star and hotel heiress served a little more than two weeks.

Paris Hilton has lost her pet cat "Prada" after failing to pick up her cat from the vet. Apparently, Paris dropped Prada off to get neutered at the end of January and when she failed to return for the cat, the vet called the woman Hilton adopted the cat from last year.

Now, catwoman Kris Kelly insists the hotel heiress has lost the feline - because, as far as she's concerned, Hilton has abandoned it. Kelly says she even tried to contact Hilton in a bid to find out what happened - but Paris hasn't returned her calls. Kelly says: "It's a clear-cut case of abandonment."

Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan get into pissy little spat at pre grammy party

Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton had a huge cat-fight at Timbaland's pre-Grammy party on Saturday. The hotel heiress and the 'Mean Girls' actress, who used to be close friends, both attended the producer's bash at Hollywood nightclub Avalon and were not happy to see each other.

Sources claim Lindsay pointed at Paris and said: "What the hell is that bltch doing here? I didn't know she was on the list." To which, Paris replied: "Fvck off you bltch."

Lindsay and Paris were both hoping to convince Timbaland, who has worked with Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and 50 Cent, to revive their faltering music careers.

Toy Paris Hilton doll being sold by German Company

German company Simba Toys has confirmed it is creating toy dolls based on Paris Hilton.

The US socialite has helped style the products, which will come with silver highlights, mini-skirts, evening dresses and a mini MP3 player.

Juergen Deschner, the firm's executive, has confirmed the dolls will go on sale around Europe later this year.

The first dolls were sold at Germany's Nuremberg Toy Fair on Wednesday.

Hilton has signed a 2-year deal with Simba.

The Simple Life star previously turned down an offer to have a sex doll made in her image.

Hilton revealed that she is planning to start off as a guest on the show and then maybe move on to a more regular part.

Paris Hilton blamed for stealing designs for her footwear line

New York, Feb 3 (ANI): Paris Hilton has not yet launched her range of footwears, but fashionistas have started to blame her for stealing designs from other shoemakers.

It is said the hotel heiress cheap clogs resemble the footwear by luxe SoHo label Te Casan, whose shoes are so expensive that they are produced in limited quantities and each pair is stamped with its own number.

One fashionable lady found a unique pair of shoes she bought from Te Casan at an expensive price was now available under Hiltons line at a cheaper price.

“I own a pair (of Te Casans) and happily paid handsomely for them because they were unique, or so I thought! I was a little shocked to see one of my beloved pairs of shoes being credited to Paris’ new line,” the New York Post quoted the lady, as stating in an e-mail.

David Letterman sucks up to Paris Hilton - Appologises for his actions during last interview

Paris Hilton's Friday night guest appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman differed from her last, in September, when the CBS host couldn't stop badgering her about her just-finished jail sentence.

"We have a lovely woman who's been in prison," Letterman said Friday, explaining why he previously behaved the way he did. "I put those two things together and my head starts spinning."

Rehashing how he verbally accosted Hilton the last time, "I continued to press the point," Letterman acknowledged – though Hilton had made it clear she was finished talking about her life behind bars.

"I thought I was hilarious," Letterman recalled, until others the next day told him, "No, you were an ass----."

He also heard Hilton was hurt and vowed never to return to his show. So he called her, wrote a letter and sent flowers, which she called "sweet." And he cajoled her into returning to his show, which she did Friday – one week before her new movie, The Hottie and the Nottie, opens.

"It's like a first date," said Letterman, admitting he was "on probation." As Hilton, in a yellow dress, made her stage entrance, the Late Show band played "I Love Paris."

"I offended you. I'm not here to make enemies, honestly," Letterman, 60, told Hilton, 26. "I'm terribly sorry."

"Yes," said Hilton. "And you better not try it again. I hope you got the jail thing out of your system."

Their bitter past behind them, Letterman said, "What else would you like to talk about? Let's talk about something fun."
