Actor Gary Busey has verbally attacked Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton in an interview, calling them "idiots" and "losers" and advising them to "wake up" – before deciding to slap the camera away after a request from the 11-year-old reporter to do a "shout out".
Busey was on the red carpet for the United Nations Children's Foundation Oscar after-party, when he was asked by Starzlife.com what he thought about the amount of young Hollywood celebrities falling foul of the law.
"Well guess what?" Busey said after several attempts by the reporter to ask the question.
"They're not celebrities. They're idiots, they're losers. Winners do what losers don't want to do.
"Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton are all children of God, but they need to wake up and understand they have a responsibility, to the people who look at them and admire them, to be better behaved and [to have] better feelings about life and the charities Paris talked about. She does nothing. She's a liar. She's a pathalogical liar in terms of what the heck she says on Larry King and what she doesn't do after she says it. That's a shameful thing to do but it will bite her in the butt when it comes around."
After an attempt by the 11-year-old reporter to get a "shout-out" for the website, Busey holds up his hand and pushes the camera down, saying "No, no. I don't give shout-outs. That's a stupid thing to do."
